8-Day Lemosho Route Itinerary
Elevation: 1,400m (4,593ft)
Activities: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), meet our representative, and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Evening briefing with your lead guide, equipment check, and orientation session.
Accommodation: Comfortable hotel with dinner and breakfast included.
Elevation Gain: 1,250m (4,101ft)
Climate Zone: Rainforest
Activities: Morning drive to Lemosho Gate. Trek through lush montane rainforest. Spot black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and various bird species.
Zones: Heath/Moorland → Alpine Desert → Arctic
Activities: Trek across the Shira Plateau, ascend Lava Tower for acclimatization, conquer Barranco Wall, and arrive at Barafu base camp for the summit push.
Elevation Gain: 1,255m (4,117ft) to summit
Activities: Midnight start. Reach Stella Point at dawn for sunrise over Africa, then continue to Uhuru Peak — the highest point on the continent. Descend to Mweka Camp.
